Glastron 1975 GLA33247M75A
The boat was kept in dry storage at Tonka Bay Marine since around 1990 after having been moored in Lake Minnetonka since it was purchased in 1975.
Because of some undetermined engine problems, a completely rebuilt engine by Wagemon Bros was put in the boat in 2014. While sitting at a dock in Burrows Lake that summer, somehow the drain plug came out and the boat took on water just above the engine before being bailed out.
The boat was not considered reparable by Grand Rapids Marine but was taken to an unnamed firm near the Twin Cities who claimed to handle flooded boats. While the boat seemed to run when picked up, it became apparent that, while some mechanical equipment had been replaced, the electrical system and other items had not been touched. This subsequently created problems with starting and engine running. The boat has been sitting on a trailer north of Grand Rapids for two summers now.
It appears that two major issues need to be addressed to make boat run-friendly:
(1) The electrical system probably has to be replaced
(2) The outdrive gasket is leaking and needs to be replaced
I think the floorboards were replaced some years ago, and the boat shows some wear after 43 years but it generally in good shape.
I would like to give the boat to someone who can restore the boat to its previous glory.
The boat sits on a used trailer. The wheels had some problems but have been temporarily fixed and the break light does not seem to work. However, we were lucky to find any trailer after many years that fit the boat quite well.

Is the boat for sale?

I would assume so, he has an email address in the posting. Motor has been submerged, that generally is not good to them. Could be a deal in the making

If you are willing to pick the boat up from its present location north of Grand Rapids, it is yours for the taking.
If I need to bring it down to the Twin Cities, I will want to cover my expenses ~ $500.

Put it on Craigslist for $500 in a few large city's around you.
