The 8th Annual Minnesota Glastron Classic is moving!!!
All credit to Gregg, and the rest of the planning group (Jim, Jeff, Shawn, Joe, Jason) for pushing this decision, and doing the heavy lifting to get this done. I've had very little to do with this other than voicing some concerns with the shrinking room we had at Island Campground.
For 2015, the meet is moving to Treasure Island Resort & Casino!!! (Ok, its about 5 miles North of Red Wing...so not very far.)
They have everything we need, restaurants, hotel rooms, marina with gas, campgrounds, RV park and ROOM!!! Lots and lots of room!!!
Treasure Island is very happy to have us and is being both extremely helpful and flexible towards our group. We think this could be a perfect fit.
We're not ready for reservations or anything yet, but we have an entire campground reserved, dock space set aside, and we'll eventually have a block of rooms as well.
More details to follow!!!
Many thanks to Gregg and the rest of the guys for getting the ball rolling!
Here's the website for Treasure Island if you want to see all they have to offer: http://www.ticasino.com/ (http://www.ticasino.com/)
Cost is about the same overall, camping is a bit cheaper, dock rental is a bit more. Shouldn't be too much of a financial change.
Expect registration to open around March or April.

Very cool! That gives the group a lot more options for things to do and places to go. Better access to the TCs, the St. Croix river and many other places.
Red Wing will be missed, but it is still within a short cruise.
-
Honestly, we think everyone will be pleased with it. A nice sandy beach area, nice docks, things to do if it should rain, security camera & security folks to keep a watchful eye on things, etc.
The current thought is to go through the lock & dam on Friday (possibly), and Saturday will be a run North for lunch.
We'll need to find a new 'groove' to the weekend, but spread the word!
I added the 12th, as I'm planning on being there early, and anyone else is welcome to come Wednesday as well.
-
OK...
Were still in the early planning stages ...
Our T.I. contact is Summer Ryan, she manages the marina, slips, camping and RV park.
I believe Jim will take the lead again this year for Hotel rooms.
They will reserve a block of 10 to 20 for us.
If you get a camp spot you can launch for free, and have full use of pool and other stuff.
Day launch is $10 per day.
RV spot are up near casino / hotel, I asked Summer if RV's could park near camp sites (no power outlets) ... Waiting for reply ...
There is no power outlets by camp sites, members have portable generator, but have asked about getting power ... Waiting for reply ...
Summer has been great about getting back to me on any questions we have had, so if you have any ... POST THEM HERE !
I took some pictures of camp site, beach, slips, etc ...
First picture is me standing in the " RED " circle and panning from left to right ...

There were questions about the "NO WAKE" and "SLOW" zones leading to T.I's docks ...
The area in RED is a "SLOW" zone and the BLUE is a "NO WAKE" zone.
Shawn said he has seen people water skiing back there ... So not sure what slow means to them ?
To the right of picture is the sand bar / cove we stop at if you have gone north through the lock ...

One of the BIGGEST questions is " Where do we go on our Sat. run ? " ...
There are three options ...
We could run up to Kinni or even Hudson sand bars, no locks but lot of BIG boat traffic ...
Or ...
We could call the Red Wing lock and see if they know if any barge traffic is coming that day, maybe they know 12 to 24 hours ahead of time ? Maybe not ...
We could get to our favorite beach on Pepin if there's no barge traffic all day.
Or ...
We could call the Hasting lock and see how that looks ...
A run up to the Ford dam is awesome and we could stop at the "Dog park" beach.
Could even go up the MN. river ...
50 Glastron / Carlson's in a lock would make for a GREAT picture !
-
I think this really is going to be a great year for the meet. It really is the best possible place. NO TRAINS! Plenty of room, our own beach, no current slamming boats into docks, everyone in one location (tent, RV's, boat campers, and hotel guests).
I am really excited about this year and hope for a record setting turn out!
Thanks everyone for making this happen.....Especially Gregg!
-
Years ago we (Jim, Sean, Amie & myself, might have been others) went there for lunch and put in at a slip.
They were wide and long, easily fit two boat side by side.
I remember a very strong current ... but it might have been early in the spring with high water levels ...
Joe and Shawn said there was no current and easy to launch and retrieve boats.
Summer also said there was no current by launch ...
Another question is can we pick our slip location ?
Near launch or by gas dock and beach / camp sites ...
Also could a day tripper park in a slip for an hour or two, before Sat. run up or down river ?
No need to worry about fire wood this year ... They have it ... for Free !
There is a Pizza place in the bowling lanes that has very good pizza, not sure about delivery yet ...
In 2008 (and maybe a year or two after) the Stingray boat owners group held there meet at T.I.
They used the wooded camp site and rented a large open sided tent for a gathering spot / sun shade / in case of rain.
Summer thought it was about $100 a day or less, it was rented from an outside vendor, not T.I.
Just a thought ... I know members have many small open sided tents ...
I did some searches for the Stingray groups web site or something about there meet ... Found nothing !
Stingrays web site has a owners area, but you need to join and put in your hull ID number ... I passed ...
I think our main goal of "Need more room to camp" has been achieved ...
Another goal was to have them do the reservations for camping, slips, RV's ... Hotel is still up to use ...
Not a big concern to members, BUT a huge load off Doran and myself !
Now we have to think about Sat. group dinner ... LOL

As Jason said I am looking forward to this years meet as well. No Trains, Lots of room, No trains, No current to launch or dock with, NO Trains!!!!, and many more things. Did I say no Trains?
My family and I go camping at the sand cove in the main channel many times each summer. Every time we camp there we always run over to TI for brunch one day and to take a break from the sun. I have met and spoke to a few people that have slips there and they all have said nothing but good things about the marina and the facilities.
Looking forward to a Great Meet and can't wait to see the old faces and all the new faces that make it out, to what I hope will be a record attendance. Please help spread the word around the Glastron community to make sure everyone knows. We would hate for some one to miss out on the great event.
See you on the water!!!

I've found a place to meet on Saturday... A friend of the inlaws has 1000' of beach just south of the 94 bridge in Hudson, Wisconsin side, and said we're welcome to gather there. Just leave it as it was, when we go. I told them there could be up to 40 boats or better and they said no problem, plenty of beach for all. Sounds like a good spot for our lunch gathering. Big spots on the st.croix are hard to find on any weekend. I'll try to get pictures of it this spring when the river opens and check it out. Who ever in is charge of the gathering send me a p.m. And we'll talk.

That would be great !

Answers to a few questions ...
Q # 1
" Can day trippers park in a slip for an hour or two on Sat. morning, while they attend the 10:30 Safety briefing ?
At Island Camp grounds we would put 2 to 4 boats in rented slips for an hour or two while members were at morning briefing.
Most could park on beach, but we might run out of room. "
Answer ..
Yes .. No problem
Q # 2
"Can we pick our slip location ?
Would we all be in the northern ( up stream near launch ) slips ?"
Answer ..
She would like to keep us together.
But we can discuss other arrangements.
Q # 3
"Can we get power to wooded camp site ?
Run an extension cord from rest rooms / pavilion for lights at night and coffee maker in the morning."
Answer ...
Yes we can get power down there, enough to run lights and coffee makers.
Q # 4
"Can RV's park near (the open area) wooded camp site ?
If they don't need power hookup or water and would like to be near group.
Answer ..
Yes .. If they can get down the small hill, or they can park in parking lot above wooded camp sites.
Q # 5
"What is tent thingy ( behind rest rooms / pavilion ) ?"
Answer ...
Used for wedding receptions and party's ... EXPENSIVE !
Q # 6 & 7
"Can we put a "Welcome tent" in the parking lot, near wooded camp site ?
Small 12 x 12 open sided tent with table.
Can pizza's be delivered to camp site ?
We get 10 to 20 pizza's on Thur. night at about 6:00.
Answer ...
Yes to both ..

This would be quite a drive on Sat to go all the way to Hudson. Also if it is south of the bridge it is probably not a no wake zone so there may be bigger waves to deal with. I'm not aginst it just thinking out loud.
-
" They sure seem flexible! "
Yes they are !
Summer / TI has solved a lot of our problems ...
She also said the Stingray group will hold there meet the week before us.
I can't find anything on there meets, aside from joining there forum, and that is asking for my Stingray hull number ?
If anyone has any questions ... please post them.
Our biggest problem now is ... Where do we go on Sat. cruise ?
-
I'M already getting excited !
-
I can't wait! Should be a lot of fun!
-
I agree with Shawn that Hudson could be a long ride. It's twice as far as the trip to the lake city beach that we would usually do. Prescott seems to be the equivalent to that but there are no beaches around there. I think the Kini should still be our planned stop and if we go to the North end I don't think it will be a problem to find a spot. If we are forced to go up to Hudson then I say we do that.
There also these two islands just south of Prescott I have stopped at in the past. Not much of a trip from the casino and Not in a no wake zone but if you go to the back side it's pretty nice.
Just another option.

one thing that this changes is the parade.
-
Well, we'll need a couple of options, not everyone can make it up that far, or will even want their boats on the St. Croix. Keep in mind they're 40 year old boats, and not all are up to the challenge of that trip, and our club motto of leaving no one behind.
I've been on the St. Croix once, and it was not a fun ride, a smaller boat is really in for a rough go of it on a Saturday.
I think we need to come up with a stop either at one of the islands for those not wanting to go all the way up, and then having those that do want to, heading up the St. Croix.
The idea of the Saturday run is for everyone to beach together and hang out like we've always done in the past, not for us to split up...sure your CV-23's will do just fine, but keep in mind, the 15 footers need to be able to enjoy the day as well.
-
one thing that this changes is the parade.
Yes it does, and the City of Red Wing is disappointed that we won't be there as they were planning to promote us more this year.
-
Going south is not out of the question!
The only problem will be a barge, at this point maybe we will have to be on the wait and sea mode
Not really sure how far in advance the locks know of barge traffic
-
" Not much of a trip from the casino, and Not in a no wake zone but if you go to the back side it's pretty nice. "
We'll have to check that island out this summer and see if it would work.
If so we could go up to Kinni for a longer run, turn around and park at island for a few hours.
We have to be back for group dinner by 6:00 or so, and a long trip to Hudson would make a beach stop a short one.
If barge traffic is lite on Sat. we might be able to make it to Pepin ...
-
Jason said he would look into the lock and barge scheduling ...
Would be cool if we could go north to Prescott or Kinni on Fri. and Pepin on Sat.
And maybe the Ford dam on Sun.
-

If there is a run to the Ford dam on Sunday, I guess I will be staying until monday.
-
See...my 2 cents is that we go North to avoid the 'heavy' traffic days on the Kinni, and South on Saturday. Sunday could be the Ford Dam, sure.
-
The run to the Ford dam is my personal favorites !
Very lite boat traffic, WOT until the "No Wake" zone in St.Paul, then back to WOT till the dam !
Red is Hastings dam.
Blue is Ford dam.
Black hash marks are "No Wake" in St.Paul.
Second picture is TI to Ford dam ...
-
" See...my 2 cents is that we go North to avoid the 'heavy' traffic days on the Kinni, and South on Saturday. Sunday could be the Ford Dam, sure."
That's what I said ... LOL
Fri. would be a lite traffic day on St.Croix.
Sat. would be the heavy traffic day, and a good time to head south to Pepin.
Any days a good day for Ford dam run !
The island south of Prescott would be a good option for a Sat. run if lock traffic makes Pepin or Ford dam undoable ...
Even a short run to Kinni from Prescott island is a option.
-
Wow, that is quite a run to the Ford Dam from TI. Would that be an all day run?

that's about right, we drove to Hastings and launched, went through the lock at Hastings, then all 3 in st Paul/Mpls.
ate lunch at psycho Suzie's in NE Mpls (just north of boom island)
-
Sat. Traffic is bad on the st.croix that's why I thought that Hudson would be better than trying to find room at Kinney. I have run my 16 ss from Hastings to Hudson then down to dredge sand bar by the casino and back to Hastings. It is a long trip and we were on fumes when we got back. there are places to get gas at hastings and Afton if anyone needs. We do it all the time in the 23, but then again, it holds a lot of gas.. Maybe just a trip for the big guys..? The ford trip sounds good though. We're up for anything. and nothing's set in stone.
-
So here is what I learned after calling lock and dam #3. Guy sure liked to talked....I am guessing things are a little slow this time of year!
There is not really a schedule for the barges. He said "they get here when they get here". Said best thing to do is check barge traffic at Marinetraffic.com. I was peaking at it. Cool site! You can gauge how far away the barges are by relating to lock and dam's 2 and 4. (8 hours from L&D-4 to L&D-3) (3 hours from L&D-2 to L&D-3). Also said you can call the morning of and they can give you an idea when they expect to see the barges based on doing the same type of estimating.
You can monitor channel 14 on a marine radio and listen to barges communicating with the lock and dam as they will call ahead to get the lock and dam to prepare.
Also said it wouldn't be a problem to shove 40+ pleasure boats in a lock together! cool picture.
So basically you can't really plan ahead too much for the locks. All depends on whats happening that day.

Yes, it was a long day. Joe was a great guide that day! We did about 30mph on out trip up River. There was no barge traffic that day due to some high sand? In the channel that they were dredging out. It seems like on our way north, we had to wait for them to drain the lock to let us enter. We only had to wait on one small barge at the last lock. On our way south, we ran around 35mph. The locks were cup of water and we drove right in all but one, I believe. I had to stop for fuel on our way back also, and paid $5.50 a gallon. A dollar more than it was on the river around Red Wing. My boat holds 30 gallons, and I think I put in between 20 and 25 gallons. I have 2 regrets 1st, I didn't let Joe enjoy his lunch because i was in a hurry to get back and 2, we didn't travel that last mile or so to the end of the channelized River. My phone went dead on our way back, so I wasn't a me to record that part of the trip
I'd do it again too!
Terry

Just thinking out loud here ...
OK .. So we could call the locks late Fri. night and get an idea what there morning and afternoon looks like.
Maybe even get a guess on Sat. traffic ...
Plan our trip at last minute for each day.
We could start a thread a few days before the meet called " River route plans " on the forum and update it with our days route.
And post a sign at boat launch of our intensions, for those launching at TI.
That way late arrivals would know where to go ...
-
That will get to be a pretty long drive from TI all the way to Peppin and back. Thinking that people would prob need gas, and it prob wouldn't leave a lot of time to beach, relax, and chat with others.
I would guess that with the lock that could take an hour maybe more one way.
If we want to go threw the lock and avoid boat traffic I would say head north on Sat and find a spot on the north side of the Hastings dam.
-
Ya .. Sat. trip would have to be planned around the dinner ...
Fri. or Sun. trip could be a longer one.
A run to Prescott would be pretty short run ...
-
I Still think the kinni is the best option. No locks to worry about, only one no-wake zone, and the Mississippi is a very nice ride up to Prescott. The stretch from Prescott up to the kinni is not too far. Take it slow and stay close to the shore.
Otherwise we can just run up the Mississippi to Hastings then come back to the cove and hang out there till diner time. We could do our parade in Hastings.
-

That would be our best bet for Sat.

Ya know that ain't gonna happen !
LOL

I've been put in contact with this StingRay rally coordinator.
She's heading to Florida on vacation but will get back to me in a week.
I'll let you know what she has to say.

How much $$$ is the outing? I tried to reserve feb 3 but reservations section wasn't active yet. How much reservation? And ball park for price for outing minus possible lodging. I've already looked at the new locations hotel pricing as that's all my old lady will do. I love tent camping but i took the fam once and it wasn't a memorable experience.

So, essentially after lodging costs, you're paying your meals, gas & slip rental. Besides a minor charge to pay the websites bills, we really don't mark anything up, or make a profit, nor do we want to.
There's also nothing that says you have to stay at the casino...if you're on a budget and want to stay at a cheaper hotel, feel free, and you wouldn't have to slip your boat either if you didn't want to pay that fee either. You could launch each day, beach your boat and then re-trailer it over night.
Everything else is up to you. There will be a catered group meal Saturday, so your costs will be the group meal + website 'donation' beyond lodging, boat gas, and whatever you decide to do for your other meals.
We'll have more info around April 1st, and hopefully an official price for everything by then. Gregg's been on top of things so far, and I think it really comes down to picking the food and figuring out the price per boat.
-
I checked there web site and there's no prices for rooms ...
Prices must change with day of the week, Holidays, etc.
I'll ask Summer for a ball park figure on rooms and if we get a discount or group rate.
-
We are still in the "Planning & fact finding stages" yet ...
But will need to meet with and commit in about a month or so, at least for the rooms and catering.

Treasure Island will handle all reservation for camping, slips, hotel ...
Which is great for us .. But leaves us with a problem of how do we collect funds to pay for the web site.
I think we all agree that Doran should NOT have to pay for the hosting fee's out of HIS pocket, and all members should contribute the small amount it would take to keep the forum going ...
Were just not sure how to do this ...
-
Everything sound great to me on the prices. Well in line with what we have been paying.
One question... on the catered meal, how do you plan to collect for the for the payment per person? If you would make people prepay for it a donation for the website and forum hosting fees could also be included.
-
Not a problem to pay in advance, just put a listing of the charges and I would be happy to send a check, or PayPal, or whatever. I agree that no one should bear the cost of putting this on.
-
Set up a Paypal account to collect "membership/website donations"... It easy and works. We can pay whatever fee is needed.

I like this idea. I think it would be nice to have it on the website and left on all year. It shouldn't be just the responsibility of the red wing attendees to pay the bill as many others just use the web site and I think would also be happy to chip in a little. When you reach your goal just turn it off and we are still a non-profit.

Just so we're all on the same page...we're not a non-profit...we're not that organized...that would require tax filings and makes us more of an official organization...liable for 'member's actions, requiring insurance, etc, etc. We're a group of Glastron enthusiasts who get together on an internet forum and for occasional outings.
We've done the PayPal thing for years, and honestly, it ends up mixing personal funds/bank accounts with club money, and I've never liked that complication. PayPal & Eventbrite also make us wait for the payments, so for example, Gregg had to front money so that we could pay Island Campground our full bill while Eventbrite sat on the pay out for 3 days after the meet, not fair to him. Setting up a bank account for the club, presents another whole host of issues.
Gregg and I try to provide leadership & organization while dancing the delicate line of not being too official. We don't want to make anything besides memories for all.
Enjoy the website? Think we're doing ok? PM me for my address...Send me $10-$20 once a year...or at the meet...I'll gratefully accept.
We'll figure it out...but thanks for the ideas.
-
We DON'T want "memberships" ...
This might be as easy as sending Doran donations and/or putting a donation box on a table at the meet.
If we get to much, we could get a CGOAMN banner or something.
Which bring up one other thing ...
There are no picnic tables in wooded camp site, TI asked if we need tables ...
Not sure if we have to pay / rent them or they will just let use them ?
I have a large fold out table we used for welcome tent last year.
Any one else have any tables ?
-
I have 4 small ones (4')
-
I have one I can bring
-
I have several tables I could bring. As for funds for this, that whatever, I am very flexible, just ask how you want me to pay, last year was cash when I arrived. My suggestion of PayPal was simply for advance payments. I agree, small informal club, bottom line, what can I do to insure no else suffers a financial hardship based on my obligations? What do I need to bring for club activities? I might be a guest to the fine folks of MN/WI, but an willing to help as needed
-
I'll find out for sure about tables ...
Sound like we have enough to get by.
I'm sure donations by active members will more then cover web site expenses.
-
Where would I park my "murder van"? Dun dun duuuun...
-
Should be plenty of parking spots.
-
So would we just rent a campsite? As you may remember we sleep in the "murder van" suite, so our campsite could be used for a giant grill or something.
-
" So would we just rent a campsite? "
Yep ...
There will be more info in about two weeks ...
-
Ian are bringing Shorty with you this year?
-
My son Paul is taking the week of the CGOAMN meet off from work, so we will be down Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Probably traveling back home each of the evenings.
-
Thur. night pizza party.
Extreme Bowl café menu ..
-
Use locals have made the trip many many times with out concern for time or distance, were out to have fun.
So thought I would map it out for others ...
Just a guess on distance ...
About 5 miles from Red Wing/Island camp grounds to beach on Pepin.
About 10 to 15 miles from T.I. to Kinni.
We will GPS and time it before the meet.
-
Gas docks and No Wake zone in Prescott.
-
I will say the run from t.I. to the kinni is beautiful for those that have never made the run. Amber and I did it 2 years ago and plan on making that run sometime during the meet this year. We may even go further, I really want to see the swing span rail bridge further up stream.
-
First picture is south side of Kinni.
You can see the sand bar, half way out water is about waist deep, should hold all our boats if we get there early ... About 11:00 to 12:00.
Second picture is north and south side, NO WAY will we get a spot in channel !
-
Jason thought we could stop at the ( a little south of Prescott no wake ) Prescott sand bar.
It would cut the distance ( to Kinni ) in half.

I was actually talking about this island. Not the one you posted Gregg. It's not the best but people hang out there and it's about the only other location we have other than kinni. I think the trip to kinni is still the best. It's really not that far.

WHOOPS ...
That one is all tree stumps and a little sand ...
I'll edit it.
-
I don't remember the thread it was on but there was some concern about the current in the marina at TI. When I was speaking to TI about slip rental for the new boat she mentioned that it used to be a problem, but they put in a break wall that protects the marina. They are also currently adding to it to make it even bigger. Just thought I would pass on the info.
-
That was me ...
It was years ago and might have been in the spring with high water levels.
Guess it not a problem any more ...
-
Ian are bringing Shorty with you this year?
He doesn't have a choice, I will make him!

Ian
Might have to get a different van if Shorty is coming, not sure if the murder van is long enough.
-
This is true, I'm thinking dock truck or a 20 man tent for him

The sand pile/ cove/ pit/ donut I hear it called so many names. Sounds and looks like it will not be available for camping, hanging out, ect. The army corps is doing some serious dredging in the area and are currently filling it in. Thinking that it will be full in the next week or so. We can always pull up on the outside just not sure how it will work and what there will be for room. I will keep you updated as we get closer. By August I should know the areas to go pretty well.
-
Over the years I've seen it with huge mound of sand and other years near non at all ...
One year there was a barge parked there.
Are you thinking they will fill in the entire opening / cove ?
-
Is there a 'back side' that would be more protected?
-
Yes there is a "Back side" but unsure of water depth on that side.

That's ok, I'll just follow you.

Okay guys. Still need to book a room. Not sure I wanna shell out $90 a night to stay at the casino. What hotels are close?

Its worse, $94 is the cheap night...it goes up after that! I haven't decided what I'm gonna do yet either, might be at the Nichols, or something as well...

Isn't anyone going to tent it this year since we have the wooded area?
-
we are tenting.
seems like any off site hotel is gonna be quite a drive :(
-
we are tenting.
oh good! ;D
-
We're tenting also
Terry
-
Oh, I'm sure I'll be tenting, let's be honest. Probably renting a generator for the weekend.
-

we have extra tents, if you want to use one of them.

Didn't someone suggest renting a van instead of a car? Just saying

If you don't camp / tent you miss to much of the fun ...
Things just get going when every one else go's to sleep ... LOL
-
How far from the campground to the Docks? I'd like to hangout at the campfire but if I'm sleeping in the boat I need to make sure it's stumbling distance. :o
-
Go to beginning of this thread for pictures of docks, launch, beach & camping area.

Short answer is, you're close.
-
Signed up with Summer at T.I. Today, two camp sights and two slips on resurve no problem real easy. Myself and the wife with the 23 and my bro. And his wife with the z. The cvx-16 turned out real nice so I think the other bro. And his girl might come too. See you all in August.
-
GREAT !
Happy to hear it was easy to do ...
-
I ain't flyin all the friggin way to MN to sleep in my car ...
Or a tent ...
No offense!
And I definitely ain't stayin at the Days Inn again. If'n ya walked round barefoot in the room yer feet got dirty. What a dump!

Swap meet?????? I've got a lot of leftover parts form the boats I've done many are still good. Just wondering if we could start some kind of swap meet? nothing formal.., I'm not giving up boating time to watch over parts. Honor system would work for me. How about the rest of you?
-

In a way there has been one. Last year i brought some parts for Branden and I sold a prop to someone as well. I would just start a thread for swapping parts at the meet. No point in bringing everything if no one would want it. Unless you had the back of a truck you could just through stuff in there and let people rummage threw

Yep, I have a 'bucket o'parts' a couple steering wheels, etc...

My post " AWESOME stuff for sale ... " worked well, will be bringing stuff for Brandon to T.I.
I think last year we had a post about stuff to bring to Red Wing to sell, trade or give away.

Have coffee makers been accounted for, especially with Gregg's unknown attendance status? Seems like there are plenty of people that drink it in the AM.
Firewood?
So there is no electric at the campsites? Water?
-
there are 2 outlets by the sand point, one at the steps, one on the fence by the camp sites.
but there is not elec and water in each space like at island.
i did not notice or check to see if the is a water faucet down there but the bathrooms arnt that far.
-
" electric at the campsites? "
I've asked Summer about this a few times, and her answer has been "We'll work something out".
So we should be able to run extension cords from rest rooms/pavilion down to camp sites, at least the ones close to parking lot.
Plus some are bringing there portable gen's.
EVERY ONE ...Please bring some extension cords !
"Have coffee makers been accounted for ?"
I plan to be there every day, and have everything (Coffee, coffee maker, filters, cups, table) from years past.
"Firewood"

For Saturday day trippers coming to the Meet- same schedule as always? Briefing at 10 am? Meet at TI Casino camping area? Understand we're going up river rather than to Lk Pepin- a fun change!

I'm thinking so. I know some have suggested leaving earlier to get up to the beach early and grab a spot, but as of now, the schedule is 10AM safety, 10:30 departure. No parade this year since we're not going through Red Wing on Saturday.
-
Welcome Tom ...
Yes, we'll be at T.I. this year.
