Title: Hey All, from Wisconsin
Post by: Waterwolf on October 19, 2020, 08:00:38 AM
Just saved a CV 16, I love this little purple runabout. I am sure my husband thinks I am crazy but I remember seeing one on the lake as a child.

Welcome to the forum Waterwolf !

Nice CV .. One of the CV's with the GT160 seats.
All ( maybe) with that seat arrangement were 1976 models. Most were silver, but a blue one showed up a few months ago.
Check for scratches on purple paint to see what color of MF gel is under the purple.

Maybe it's the lighting, but that color is mesmerizing.  Welcome to the forum and congrats on the save.

I was trying to decipher the HIN but it is very difficult. Too much paint over top of it but I will make a guess - BCV05564M76K

and where can I get good information about what this boat was at birth?

Thanks everyone
Claire

Hi Claire ..
It's hard for me to make out hull number. If you could put a piece of paper over it and rub with a pencil it would help.
Unless you or others can see better then I can .. Gettin' old .. LOL
I'm seeing  "06534"

GCV  = Manufactures code for Glastron / Carlson
06534 = Your hull number
M = Model year
76 = built in 1976
K = Built in June of 1976

August would be first month of production .. A = Aug. / B = Sept / C = Oct / etc. etc.

More info ..

My CV is also a 1976 Blue / light blue
