Title: Childhood boat
Post by: Rosscoe on August 07, 2010, 07:21:39 PM
First this year I find the motor we had when I was a kid and now the boat. I wont be buying it however. I think ours was a 67 but looks almost identical. Same color, interior etc. I have never seen another. Havent seen it for 30 years and even longer since riding in it.
Talk about flash back!  :o

I grew up with a 1969 Arkansas Traveler, I believe it was an Atlas, it was 16ft long, gold with an old Johnson 115, and it had one speed "Full Throttle".  To this day my dad would still say that was the best investment in family fun, we would spend every weekend with family and friends and still to this day I too have great memories of that old Traveler.

If you go over the fiberclassic.com and look in their library they have boat ads for the Arkansas Traveler, they even have a polaras ad, wow thanks for the flash back.

Of course we thought the Traveler was the greatest boat until we got the Glastron CV16....
