Post by: Jason on October 09, 2014, 07:08:25 PM
Jim and I want to go play in the boats someplace Sunday. Open to suggestions. I got a 21p rev 4 prop I want to try on the cv23.

Who's in?

Where are we thinking?  Mississippi?     St Croix?

The launch north of Stillwater on St Croix is free we could run up north of Stillwater to the RR bridge, then to Hudson or something? There is a cave north of Stillwater I wouldnt mine checking out that I seen last time we were out.  Grill is in the 23 as well if we want to grill or we could stop and eat somewhere.

St. Croix sounds fun. Otherwise the Minnesota river would be nice too if it's windy. Launch at Fort Snelling.

I guess I vote for the MN river launching at Fort Snelling. Looks to be a bit breezy so the narrow river should help make it calmer. Central location for us all too. Meet at 11 at the ramp. Grill on the beach?

Was a good time. Nice sunny day with no major problems.

63 miles and 22 gallons on my part. (I must have a 40 gallon tank Shawn. Was reading 1/4 when I was beached with an incline) so more like 3/8 tank left.)

21P rev 4 performed well but not much better (52-53 mph) than the micky mouse 19P that was on there. Except for my WOT RPM's were only 4200 so once the motor gets built up I think it will be the perfect prop.

Looks like a fun time. Thanks for the photos. Brings back memories of the Minnesota River.
