Yeah, got it - thanks. The one thing that puzzled me is they had no listing for a V174 or V170 for 1972. They go from a 16 foot Bayflite to an 18 V184. They reintroduce the V174/V173 in 1973 as the new Bayflite design. No V142 Skiflites are listed.

The Crestflite grew/evolved to 18 feet in '72. The Bayflite grew/evolved to 17 feet in '73. The '73 Bayflite hull has nothing in common with the old 174 Crestflite.

According to the brochures the only all white V142 Skiflite produced was in '67 but we know those stats were not set in stone as options have been known to change after the catalogues were printed. They were however only rated for up to 50 hp, and the V143 Jetflites were rated up to 65 hp. I just wish the '72 brochure was more complete in the CGOA brochures section, several models are missing from it.
I opened my yap before I knew the size of the boat. Its a 14 footer so I stand corrected...it IS overpowered. I should know you know this stuff inside and out.
