Who would you get?
« on: August 24, 2010, 05:07:40 PM »
I have a 1984 CVX16 and it used to have a barefoot boom attached to it.  As a result of the stress that put on the gunwales I have some crazing going on.  Additionally, there are six 3/8" diameter mounting holes in the gunwales.  The color is a biege or buff color and would like to get them repaired and get an excellent gellcoat match, too!

Who would you suggest for such repairs?  I am an hour South of Minneapolis and would travel farther for the right persons expertise.

Try White Bear Boat Works. They match gelcoat colors perfectly, as attested to by myself and Brian Bergstrom.

Whereabouts are you.... Albert Lea?  Rochester?

Schoenmann Boat Works in Rochester would be a good bet if you're in the Rochester area.  Mark Schoenmann is the owner and does excellent work.

Thank you so much for the advice!  I really appreciate it.

As for location, I am in Woodville Township near Waseca.
