This guy only wanted payment for the cover by my credit card number over the phone, when I refused to do that, I asked him "would you give me your credit card number, and he said Sure, if I bought something from you",  I said to him that I would send him a certified check for payment if he gave me his address, he said he was leaving work now, that he would call me next day and give it to me ... then he canceled the transaction.  look at his feedback .. Grrrrr ..

Sorry to hear that Red. He was probably ticked that the cover only went for a couple dollars and not the outrageous amount he was looking for, he should have started the bidding at a higher price. On top of that once PayPal and ebay collected their fees for the item then he would have owed them more than what he got for the cover. Sounds like an idiot to me.

the guy had a shipping fee of sixty something bucks, and the actual shipping would have only been $37, he would have made a couple bucks, but like you said, he probably thought it would bring him a pocket full.

There's potential...that I won't need mine.  I can't decide if its a cardinal sin to separate it from the boat or not...I'll know more in the spring when Goldie is finished.  However, the engine cover won't be going on the boat, rather a full sundeck for the family.

I Can't believe it ! 
we came in this evening and the motor cover was delivered to my door ?
No wrapping, not boxed up ... nothing but a sticler and a bill of laden stuck on it.
I haven't paid for it ... well, I have now, I got a money from walmart before the closed down and dropped in it the mail to the address on the shipping lable.

The motor cover is in good condition for what I want to use it for, they didn't break it ..

How fortuitous! Is this the same cover that you won on ebay? I wonder if ebay got on his case and made him feel guilty. It must have been sent overnight express for you to get it so fast.

I think you got lucky. I see his feedback isnt all that great and apparently, its not the first time this guy cancelled a transaction.
He musta felt like a schmuck and decided to send it along.
