Great news for the CVX interior project
« on: January 14, 2011, 09:45:12 PM »
I was given a name at my local boat dealer last week for interior work.  The guy stopped by the house Tuesday evening after work and we climbed in the CVX to have a look see.  After some measuring and brainstorming we headed inside to look at the vinyl I had purchased.

With a tip from Stewy in Canada, I was able to purchase the last 13 1/2 yards of persimmon vinyl to match the original orange vinyl. At an unheard of price of $5 per square yard and shipping I ended up with a 54" x 26 feet long piece of vinyl, shipped to the house for $87.

This evening I checked my email and saw the quote from my upholstery man. I almost fainted, but in a good way.  To have all the seats made in new vinyl with 3" wide sewn pleats, new foam on seat bottoms and backs and the side panels is an easy on the wallet $550. I'm building the frames myself and providing the vinyl. All together I'll have all new seats and carpet for  under $800.

I'll start building the frames next week and have the vinyl work done in mid Februd
