I would love a club house. The members have an incredible wealth of knowledge. More realistically I would like to see a club restoration project. Like restoring a basket case. Start by splitting the two halves, redoing the transom. Re- glassing the haul, spraying gel coat, painting, upholstery, wiring, and all the steps.
It would be cool to learn from others, not by trial and error in my home. Next winter I would offer to help others with knowledge work on projects. Or have others come to my nice heated man cave.
It would be prohibitive for the club to ever go to the point of a clubhouse with restorations seminars. Insurance and the nasty chemicals we use would be a problem.
In my home shop, I and many of you in your home shops accomplish incredible restorations and as a small hobby bypass the regulations of a formal shop were seminars and the teaching or restoration of old boats would happen.
