this is something I can't help but touch .. Oops, maybe not the right choice of words.
Bayliner .. the "B" word
BaJa .. a "B" word
Flake .. an "F" word
Laquer ... 10 or 12 coats ... take you a Week to scrape all that off in a couple years

Doug .. the original "D" word ... Got to luv him, Ooops, done it again ... gotta Like him, he can't see at night, he's one of Us for sure

I've done a lot of soul searching & have finally accepted the fact I cain't see sh*t at night anymore. Though sometimes I think that's all I'm seeing. Everything's so dark'n brown ...

edit: Ya the motor's tweaked a bit but 115's probly a lil far fetched. If I had a bubble butt exhaust tuner then I'd say yeah. It is strong & runs like a sob but I doubt it's pushing much more'n 91hp ...

Oh alright so mebbe the motor's tweaked a lil bit. But it's really nothing all that radical.

Ahem:(Flashback to 4 yrs ago) Punched .030 w/Wiseco pistons, everything internal new & balanced from the crank up, new reed kit, 140hp carburators ... But that's about the extent of any 'high performance' parts. Honest!

Things that may improve overall performance? Beefy non-resistor plug wires, irridium plugs, upgraded stator, power packs & coils.

That's all there is. I ain't sandbaggin!

Just rebuilt the starter'n replaced the solenoid too btw

No Foolin, the "bubble does make a difference, at high rpm's, they are plentiful at the old motor shops, and it will fit unde your cowel ... I think 10 to 15 percent high end performance.

Thats the nice thing about those Johnny-rude's you can build them, can't really do much with an inline Merc but I guess you really don't have to build a Merc. Lol. j/k. Very nice work, you got a cool boat and I will let ya hang around with us glastron nuts.

Agreed. However some of the newer 90 motors do not have the mounting points aka 'bosses' cast into the block to accomodate the additional bolts in the bubble butt tuner. I'm petrified by this prospect btw and it would be just my luck ...

Does that Baja have a pad? If it does I would bet you will be flirting with 55mph, you seem to know set up very well. Looking forward to the results.

It does yet it's more of a 'quasi' pad ... so to speak. I'd be real happy with 55 but we'll see.
