Bitter-Sweet Goodbyes.....
« on: September 03, 2012, 07:13:10 PM »
I know that some of you know what I'm talking about, said goodbye to the Starflite this afternoon.  Sure was sad to see her go, lots of great memories in that boat!  A nice guy and his wife drove over from Columbia, SC to check it out, and ended up taking her home with them.  The good part is getting caught up on some bills, and having the funds to finish the interior and windshield on the GT-150.  The bad news is "It's a Rainy Night in Georgia"!  (Feels like it's rainin' all over the world.....)  :'(

We feel for ya buddy! On the up side besides what you mentioned, you only have to work on one and store one. It could feel liberating as well. I'm not speaking from experience however.

I just got a $1.000 down payment on my Larson. Ya can't keep em all Mark. (well some people can)
Put some of that in a "Red Wing" account.

Went through the same thing this summer Mark - had the Glastron V-153 for 41 years. Many memories of camping and boating with my wife and boys. But you can build memories with the new Glastron also.

Thanks for the kind words guys, I'm feeling a little better about it this morning.  (Sorry I sounded like a big "woo-woo" last night.)  I have to be practical about it, but if I ever hit the lottery "it's on" with building a collection.  Red Wing account starts today!   ;D

Yeah Mark, I had the same feelings when Bluebell rolled away from the house.  It was a sad day that day.

But like you, it gave me additional funds to start playing & finishing up Goldie and you move on and realize it was a good decision!

That's my plan Gregg, if there's any way humanly possible I will be there for the 2013 show!
