Aqua Meter Tachometer
« on: November 04, 2012, 06:52:22 PM »
Looking for a replacement good original Aqua Meter Tach for my 1976 CVX-20 Jet, 455 Olds. Reference picture below. Looking for an exact match if possible. Size requirements... width of tach (inserted portion) 2 and 15/16th inches, fits into approx 3 inch opening, with bezel being approx. 3 and 3/8ths inches wide. The bezel can't really be wider or I would have to cut out some of the dash panel because of the forward angle immediatly off the sides of the Tach. I don't really want to do that. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Also, does anyone have good contact info for a reliable instrument repair shop to fix the one I have? It doesn't go below 1000rpm's on dial when installed and running and will stagnate at about 3,500-4,000 and won't go higher, and does have a tendancy to jump around.

Thanks!
Mark

I wonder why they don't work on "marine" guages?... they work on just about everything else.  Think I'll give em a call and let em know what I have.  They may not be able to work on it, but it's worth a shot.  Thanks.

Mark, let us know how you make out with the "gauge guys". I have some "marine gauges" that could use some work.

Haven't called the gauge guys yet.

But, lookie here... this is the exact Tach I need.  Anyone need the others?  $200 is a lot as I don't really need the other items.

I could probably use a back up Speedometer and a few of the others, but still $200 is a lot.
