Had to stalk him for awhile til I could get a clear shot. Got'm from about 20' away with my trusty ole Single Six. CB cap through the right ear. Ran a foot & he was done.

Fwiw I avoid killing anything I don't have to. But once these sobs set up shop in yer attic you might as well move. And I wasn't havin any of that.

I see it like this: Ridding the neighborhood of a nuisance while gettin in a lil target practice ...

Does animal control usually deal with such creatures?  Not that I would not have done the exact same thing, but what do folks do that cannot perform such eradications?  Thank God, no lizards in NE, at least not reptile ones.

Animal Control here would much rather round up wayward kitties & doggies. They make more money that way. $50 bucks a pop to get spot or fluffy back. (Had to bail that lil sob Uzi out twice!) When it comes to yucky reptiles they recommend you call a trapper.

While it is against the law to discharge a firearm in S Venice. It's not illegal to kill an Iguana. To the contrary it's encouraged. Cops could care less, long's nobody gets caught in the crossfire. Cuz the cops know just how nasty these invasive creatures are.

They eat anything smaller than they are. They climb trees and swallow every egg in the bird nests. They multiply like rabbits. They stink. They're ornery as hell. In short: They have few redeeming character qualities ...  Particularly when they invade an ecosystem with no way to combat them.

From what in can see in the pic, that looks like Invgrid. From what I've seen,male iguanas have large jowls. ( I've had a few years ago, snakes too)
