It's a Chrysler Aspen. I have heated back seats, remote starter, 2 USB outlets, 120V outlet, DVD movies, serius radio, a nice young lady that tells me where to go, auto adj seats, and stuff I don't even understand yet. I know it does 90 with the boat behind it (with Dottie driving) You won't have a chance in a race.

(Jason) I like that picture also, both rigs look tough.
(Jerry) who has a Chrysler Aspen? The SS has all those goodies but it also does mid 13s in the quarter and hits about 130mph on the top end, not bad for a 5,000 lbs suv. I will line up with that Hemi.

Jerry, I think Steve's Trailblazer SS is faster than your Chrysler Aspen.

Now I know what a Chrysler Aspen is, basically a Dodge Durango. Nice ride, they are no slouch with the 5.7 Hemi.

Trailblazer appears to be the faster of the two.

That's the wrong car David...Jerry has a Chrysler Aspen, (which they don't make any more)...it was an upscale version of the previous generation Durango.  Nice SUV's, but if you google the 1/4 mile times for each, the TB SS is capable of low/middle 13's, where the Aspen comes in in the upper 15's, some in the low 16's...depends if its the hybrid version or not...you've linked to the 'new' Durango's, which I actually own, and love.

Thanks guys for that info!! I know the 5.7 Hemi has some grunt to it but not enough for the LS2. I have some of the minor hop ups done to it like cold air intake, engine tune, tranny tune, high flow cats, corsa exhaust, performance mass air flow sensor and it's all wheel drive with a clutch type transfer case. Motor wise it's making around 460 HP.

Sorry that I got the wrong vehicle.

To really settle the matter between Jerry and Steve, I suggest a dark lonely straight, long asphalt road marked off for a quarter mile. I'll be at the end of the quarter mile, and start my stop watch when I see the smoke from the starter's gun, and end the time when the first vehicle crosses the finish line.

Maybe Jerry G or Jerry S have connections to the use of timing equipment.

Does not Tom V and Alex have some fast vehicles that we could time also?

Drag racing tow vehicles?  Well I suppose we Americans will pretty much race everything from lawn mowers to semi tractors.  My excursion, V10, does everything a 7400 lb vehicle could be expected to.  Never had the inclination to go 90 towing, but 75 with a 24' pontoon was common.  If I was going to challenge the SS or Hemi, I would suggest bring a tow chain would be more suited to its capability.

Yeah...Jeep GC SRT8 (470 HP) is a little different than a Aspen Hemi (335 HP).

That's what I originally wanted was a SRT8 Jeep but with the first generation SRT8 Jeeps they have no place to put the trailer hitch, there is one to install but it is awfully ugly and they don't have a tow rating worth the beans. On top of it all they are expensive, even used ones hold there value really well. A slightly tuned TBSS such as mine will hang with a stock SRT8 Jeep and when it's that close it really comes down to the driver. One day I will get a SRT8 Jeep second generation.

One thing that I found interesting is that all the NEW Hemi's are NOT actual Hemi's. Close but not the same design. Part of the new design of the new Hemi head came from Porch.

Yep, Correct.  True Hemi's couldn't be made to meet CA emissions if I remember right...but...close enough for the Marketing folks...  :D
