SHALLOW WATER/BEACH ANCHOR
« on: July 31, 2015, 04:55:09 PM »
Over the years at the meets I have seen various beach anchoring systems. I am weighing my options on them and just curious what you all are using.

Thanks.

You can go to any boating store, cabellas, gander mountain, and find "sand stakes" in the anchor section...... Or you can go to a wall mart, Kmart, target, and look for dog tie out stakes. They work very good and are about 1/3 the cost of the boat store kind.  I've used them for years on my boats and they hold pretty good. Except when the loud music, wake board boat goes by.       ;D

" Or you can go to a wall mart, Kmart, target, and look for dog tie out stakes. "

That's a good idea !
The SS sand stakes at marine stores can go as high as $50 ...

Go to menards, HD, Fleet Farm or your equivalent in your area and look for Earth anchors.  I used the long ones to anchor the one side of the house boat over the 4th weekend. They make a few different lengths and they are cheap.
