« on: September 17, 2015, 09:05:55 AM »
after sitting on the trailer, covered up for the last month, we took Sea Deuced out last night.
ran from Ft Snelling to Chaska, about 30 miles one way.
that little boat is still fun to drive :D

Maybe its just the view, but that looks so shallow!  How were the depths?

it was decent for the most part, the channel is maintained up to shakopee so depths up to there were fine (in the 8 to 12ft range) we went about 5 miles past that and depths were mostly greater than 5 ft.
it gets shallow right in chaska, the pix of the snow blower was taken right past the Hwy 41 bridge where the small creek runs into the river, i was churning mud there.

One of those bow shots would be worthy of a Just the bow post.   Interesting looking location and I dont know if there are any other Minnesota River shots there.  I like the one with the big tree in the river, but the  bridge one is very nice also.

I think the Pelicans are on there way back south from Canada. I see them every day in South St. Paul on the Mississippi this time of year.

Looks like a great time!

It's sad that people dump this crap...anywhere, but especially along the river. :-/

We've got one down here like that as well, the river comes out of the suburbs just south of Atlanta.  We've found refrigerators floating downstream, Studebaker tail gates up on the bank, you just never know.  Makes me mad that some people don't care about our natural resources any more than that!

heck around here, people just find a ditch on a minimum maintenance road and just dump their trash, couches, tires, batteries, ect.
