"Also found several 4-5 lb chunks of lead screwed onto the lil "sub-floor" area under the bow."

Is it something Allison did for balance ?
Or PO added them ?

Probly like David suggested. Keep the bow down during launch.

One thing's fer sure. More time I spend sanding, the less appreciative I am of them fancy schmancy angles in the deck ...

Original flake reminds me of your boat Gregg.

Actually at this point I'm leanin toward a wrap. Just the deck I mean. Lotta stress cracks to fix and pray they don't come back.

Wraps are a lot more forgiving. Plus there ain't a whole lot of acreage to cover?

Picked this lil gem up earlier at Ron's. 24 Raker. Appears to be unmolested. God I love the barter system! When it works in my favor ...

Hear ya Gil. But I figger this way at least I can save money on a stripper ...

Yo David. Looks a lil better after some never dull. Mostly over spray from sittin in Mark's shop. Couple microscopic dings but otherwise in nice shape.

Might just stick it on the Baja next time out. But I 'magine it'll need a lil more pitch whacked into it. Specially on the Ally?

Doug, I was going to mention last night on the fb...you going to run that steering wheel? I have 3 or 4 in my basement if you need any parts for it. I don't have an extra chrome center cap but I've got everything else. I think mine all came off Rinkers.

No particular wheel in mind yet Ray. One that was on it went with the string steering set up.

Ok. I'm going to run that same wheel on my CV. It's a Detmar like most Glastron steering wheels, but it's a nice smaller diameter over the faux wood. I've got 3/4" round taper hubs on all of them. Lemme know and I'll send you whatever you might need. I've got a whole box of spare wheel parts.

Oh, I think a place up in Jax makes the Allison bucket seat shells, too. They look great, not sure how comfortable they are.

Thanks Ray. Got the seat shell part covered. Needs a lil lipstick but it oughta work okay. Lemme tell ya I'm gonna be stuffin some foam between it and my butt.

Citrus goo worked alright I guess. Ain't real impressed. Course I did put it on in the sun, and then a lil later it rained ... So I reckon I shouldn't be too disappointed. Does have a "pleasant citrus aroma" ...

Did somethin funky to the black primer down a couple coats. Had me scared chitless at first, but looks like it'll sand off. Gel underneath appears okay. Phew!

Sho was purty way back when, weren't she?

Doug , to get into the nooks and cranny's smear some of the goo on wait a little then use course steel wool to clean the paint out .
You gonna spray some flake back on to it , the blue / black base sure looks cool ?
