Mike

No not original they come with piano hinges but pita to mount.

With the take apart you can remove the engine cover quickly for much easier access.

Plus the pads beside the engine cover will get hinged at the opposite end (back) for ease of getting in them from inside the boat and also they are not tied into the back seat so if removal of the back seat nothing is attached to it.

My other 18 every thing is done this way, but the hinges for the engine cover have pulled out because they are only going into 1/2 inch plywood

Well that makes perfect sense, and a lot easier to hand and service.  Neat idea Jeff, might just have to borrow that idea for the Timi.

Started working on interior

Looking good Jeff but is it really easier working on the interior with the boat hanging from the ceiling?

Jeff, you are getting really good at the cvx18s, should go quickly for you I bet this winter.  Are you going to try to run it at all this year before the fix up?  Have you put the dreams of a CV27 on hold?

Jeff, I have been watching for the dates for your next seminars on motivation and focus so I could get an advance ticket and not miss out. lol.  I have been skipping around a bit on each one of my boats but not giving just one attention as of yet, guess getting a pick up camper, avion camper, and 22 foot grampian sailboat doesnt help keep the focus. lol.  Good thing is my original C512 is just turn the key and enjoy. lol.

Nice work Jeff. Now if I could only focus on one project at at a time.

Love the blue metal flake Jeff, is that original Gel flake?  Either way boat looks great, someone did a fantastic job on the interior.  Bet we know who he was. lol.

Do you have a part number for the hinges you used? I want to do the same thing to my CVX16 SS
