Surf Jet ad
« on: January 10, 2018, 07:42:40 PM »
I have not been around much for a while.....life gets in the way......I thought I remembered someone was restoring a Surf Jet? Heres an old ad that may be of interest. Sorry I had to start a new post but I could not find the original if it exists?  These were made here in St.Paul and I ran into the guy who made them on Lake Owasso way back when...he showed me the machine....gave a little sales pitch and let me try out the "Prototype"....Those were my good ol days

Doran has/had something similiar he was working on, kinda a powered surfboard.  He posted some video riding it around  last spring?  I got the impression they were well known up north, but I've never seen one before he posted about it.  Really kinda cool craft.

Hi Don...yeah, good vintage SurfJet's are still bringing big money.  $1500-$2k if its in excellent shape.

I bought a 'Surf Skimmer', I think its a 1969, though the 'title' says its a 1959...its older, slower and has several design flaws...so there's that!

Still some work to do on it, but it has promise...here what I bought:
