If you want top speed, there is no equal to a Raker. The Raker lifts the bow and bites well at the higher speeds. At the lower speeds, it can break loose and then you have to back off on the throttle until it catches. Cavitation may be because the Rakers lack a flared end. While looking at your profile, with your 100 HP motor, a 20 pitch Raker may be a better option.

For what it's worth my 87 140 Looper revs to 6000 at around 54-56 with a 20 Raker.  (If I remember)
When I tried a 22 Raker it ran 55 @ rpm unknown.  Used to porpoise before trim tabs.
How do your boats (1978 cvx 16 deluxe-modified 2000 100hp johnson.78 cvx16-140 mercury) run?
There used to be a blue boat with a 100 from Wisconsin,  Is that yours?
Check with Fuzzbutt from MI.
Did you see the 84 Carlson at Wausau WI?

Quote from Fuzzbutt back in March 13, 2016 :

I've got a near mint 22" raker and have run it out to 5500 rpm at 56 mph in my cvx16. Nice enough prop but out of the hole it's not too fun and the torque steer and it's propensity to make my hull hook in high speed turns isn't ideal. I personally would look for an OMC SST and if they made a 21" get that one. I'd run that before I dropped a lot into a Raker. I can run my 19" (OMC SST?) with 150 pounds in my boat plus my 230 pound behind out to 54.6 and I still have a immediate on plane holeshot. And mine had an encounter with a rock at a ramp and has been refined by yours truly. Maybe the 20" Raker may be better but the 22 is sensitive in my opinion.

Also this video of fuzzbutt's boat

Looks like your motor is lifted to second hole from bottom.
Do you have a water PSI gauge ?
My motor is same spot (second hole from bottom) and get good PSI on gauge at full throttle / speed.
Thinking about going to bottom hole on mine ... Maybe good for another MPH ...
Your steering cable seem to be at a pretty steep angle already, is it a NFB system ?

Your CVX looks SWEET !
Beautiful boat !

Picture of where my motor mounts, your in in same spot.
Thinking about moving to bottom hole, lifted up on transom.
Higher ya go, the less drag from LU , the faster ya go.
