Vintage omc tach
« on: September 01, 2018, 02:30:57 PM »
I have this vintage omc tach in the gt-jet and I haven’t been able to get it working. Does anyone out there know what the wires are?? It has one black, one pink, one gray and one purple wire. I’m thinking I just don’t have them going to the right places. Any help would be greatfull.

There are some on eBay that look close to yours .. Not much info , other then 1970's outboard tach.
Any serial numbers on back ?

I had the same gauges on my beecraft, rude 115.  Seems to me mine had red/black were power, and the grey/violet connected to the engine.  Greg's posting has a schematic that shows how mine was.  Connection for engine wires is a small plug on the hand controls.  Mine worked rather intermittent, but it was on the other pontoon so a tach really wasn't needed.  Good luck, hope you get it working.
