Iron Oxide

OR: "Saltwater vs iron"

Guess it was 'bout time for new springs ...?

Tbk I always flush this trailer after use, paying special attention to the axle/springs. But this is what happens in the meantime, between the time one launches'n the time one retrieves.

Though we do have a pumphouse/rinsedown station next to the ramp. I don't know anybody who stops to hose their trailer off after launching the boat. You pull that crap at our lil ramp'n the next guy waiting in line just might kick yer a** ...? Heh heh heh

Nah, bad as they look they still had another 5-10 miles left in 'em ...

We moved the axle aft 2 holes (8") cuz it needed way more tongue wt. Weighed on my bathroom scale we got 'bout 115 lbs now.

I'd guess that's roughly 15% of the boat's weight. Hope that's enough cuz all of a sudden I'm havin' to work a lot harder to lift it manually. Reckon I could start using the jack ...

Growing up in upstate NY, I don't miss the damage of salt on everything you drive and tow. None of that down here in the south! Glad you didn't go another 11 miles, you would have had a problem. Have a great day!
