Mercedes turbo diesel powered. If nothing else that shows a certain sense of style ...

(I don't think that'd be street legal though?  Tired are req'd have to be covered right?  ie. Fenders)

Not necessarily. 'Specially if'n it's sportin' an 'antique' tag. Another option is to register it as a 'street rod'. No fenders required in either case.

I like everything except the hood...I understand it probably came off the car they got the motor from, but it's not really working for me.

In the world of "Rat Rods" if it doesn't work, it works.

Yup! Truer words were never spoken.

The less it "works". The better. These dudes ain't 'zactly into "flowing" lines ...?

Buddy of mine's kid has one. Hard to describe but it's actually purty cool. Reminiscent of the Munstermobile. Try'n get a pic. I 'member it has a wild turkey bottle as the radiator overflow.

I believe this guy may have set a new standard by using unconventional power. As the vast majority are powered by a small block. Chevy more than ford of course. Though I have seen a couple big blocks'n even one that had a bad azz I6 in it.

I'm a huge fan of unconventionality and nonconformity. But unfortunately I have a business to run. Sigh ...

edit. Forgot to mention. Can you imagine how far you could drive that thing on 55 gal of diesel?! Probly wouldn't care if'n ya were pullin a boat neither ...
