General help with 73 GC CV-19SS
« on: May 25, 2017, 10:00:50 AM »
I have a 73 Glastron Carlson CV-19SS and I need help with wiring. I have a lot more work to do, but I need a diagram to re-wire the dash. Any help would be great! It has the 455 Olds Berkeley Packajet. Thank you in advance!!

All the older boats use the same color wires for the different sending units. you should be able to find a wiring diagram on goole images that with get you in the right direction.
I think this has become an addiction.

When I have taken the boat out sometimes it jumps to plane and others times it comes up in the front and bogs down. It doesn't have adjustable trim. Any suggestions?

If you didn't see this in Greggs (Hyperacme) listings this is it. The gauge wiring is exact to my 74 but the second page is some what different ,still should work for you.   When you say it bogs on take off does the engine bog, wont rev, or does the boat have a hard time getting on plane?

Thank you CV19! That will help a lot! I figured out the planing issue last night. I went to the basics and found the carb was the issue. Bad needle and seat and accelerator pump plunger was wrinkled. Rebuilt carb and worked like a charm!

Thank you!! Are there replacement decals or covers for the switch panels? I would like to make them were you can identify them.

Mine are like the ones in the 2nd. pict. post. I used a very lite amount of silver paint  to bring out the print on them.
