Looking for a lift for Ruby, 73 cv-16 with a Johnson 115. Anyone know how much it weighs?
-
I think about 650 plus motor, fuel, etc.
-
Look up the thread "boat weights" from October 2013, Jason scaled his 16 and 23, nice Marauder btw. Just an opinion, but any lift capable of at least 1000 lbs should do nicely. We had an air box type lifting a 24' Bennington and if memory serves it was rated at 2000 or 2500. Toon loaded was 1800 and change.

Wow I am good. The 1975 spec sheet says 650lbs. The 115 is maybe another 200lbs.
-
Thanks guys! That's just the info I was looking for. I knew this would be faster then taking it to a scale.

CV16 = 650 lbs.
115 HP Johnson = 300 lbs.
Marine 625cca G24 battery = 38 lbs.
Full tank of fuel = 100 lbs.
Under 1200 lbs.

So...my Metric ought to be roughly the same then yes? 650# for the boat + what? 600-800# for the engine+outdrive, etc?
-
Weights for the 1981 Metric's aren't listed in brochure ...
But a SSV164 and SSV168 are listed at 880 lbs.
They have same LOA and beam as a C512.
1980 C537 is listed at 750 lbs.
Mercruiser 140 is listed at 675 lbs. in 1979 Price & Spec sheet.
-
1977 CVX16SS is listed at 650 lbs.
MC 140 is 675 lbs.
Same LOA & beam as your C512.
-
Cool...so...
650+675+120 (fuel) + 40 (battery) = 1485#
Might have to get a bigger tow vehicle...getting close to that 7200# tow rating! lol!

1983 Trailer spec.
-
I will say, that even though my trailer needs work...the whole package is super easy to move around by hand. Trailer is under 400#. Nice.
