I was out on the frozen lake last night talking to a few fishermen; I typically go for a stroll with the dog when I see fishermen set up camp multiple nights in a row, something is up usually. Sure enough they were catching a few crappie here and there to make the evening worthwhile. With fresh holes drilled we got a quick measurement . . . a few inches short of three feet of ice. I don't ever remember it being this thick, this late.
My ice out thought at this point is May 1st, really late. (:
