I'll probably take her out this afternoon somewhere, but I'd love to go out on Sunday and was thinking maybe St. Croix, maybe MN  river? Anyone left in the Twin Cities looking to go out on Sunday?

If I can figure out the trim by sunday I'm going on the miss. river, going to put in at the coon rapids dam and go north. I discoverd how nice that stretch was last summer.  Lots of those monster pontoons along the shore in anoka btw.

Might want to verify ramps are open. Most are closed due to flooding. St. Croix is No-Wake right now. Fort Snelling ramp is closed on the MN.

Ugh. No wake = little fun. Hopefully the Mississippi north will be better!

We were up in St. Anthony today. The water was scary! Looks to be about 6' higher than normal.

Yeah, water is high but I don't see much debris...I'll double check tomorrow.  Maybe WBL will be a back up option.

Sean I was thinking WBL would be good too. I'm keeping the day free for it! How's the trim issue coming along?

No solution yet, think I'll go anyways. Does WBL work for you? Probably the better choice, thinking around 930

Well it was bound to happen sooner or later...

This is Brian towing us back to the launch.  :-[

And here he is helping on the water...

Oh and yes, that is a diaper we used in case fuel spurted out! Hey, it was the most absorbant thing we had!

Thanks Brian, I owe ya man!

Everybody has to get towed in sometime.  I was going to drive Brian's (bambam's) V184 on his trailer and it died on me about 60 feet away - just sat drifting & trying to start it until Terry Curran pulled up to grab a line and tow me back to the dock - we dragged her up with the rope after that.  I'm 100% confident Brian could have started it, but I couldn't hear anything while turning the key to know what it might need.

There is nothing more frusterating then not being able to load your own boat. The boat was starting a little rough I'm going to look into the plugs and fuel line, most of that stuff I havn't looked at since I got it late last year, this spring I spent most of my time on my couch tending to my leg.

Thanks to you and Terry for helping me get the boat out Saturday night.

Did you get it figured out Josh? Looks like Brian must be opening up your fuel filter.

Not yet Jason, but heck of a good eye. That's exactly what he was opening in that pic!

We looked at that and no fuel. We pulled the rubber fuel line from between the fuel filter and copper line, cut the ends and reset it in case the hose clamps were letting in air. We had some fuel come from the line, but not a ton so used fuel from Brian's pumped into a water bottle to pour into the carb and finally found the fuel pump to be good as it would suck fuel just fine from the water bottle.

I got home and didn't have much time what with the little boys and all, but now I'm thinking my fuel gauge is shot (or the sending unit) as the whole time my gauge said 1/4, but when I pulled off the cover to the fuel tank and knocked on it with my knuckles it sure sounded hollow....

If it turns out that my gauge is bad and I was simply out of gas.... Well, I owe Brian a nice steak dinner!

I bought a nice 5 gal fuel tank yesterday that I'll fill on my way home. If it fires right up then I'll certainly feel sheepish and will gladly take the well deserved ribbing from the group!  ::). If not then more troubleshooting awaits!
