Nice catches GC!!

How much rain did you get out of the gully washer we had Friday Night? Had around 4 inches here in Central City.

Not sure what boats of that type were made here so I'd be guessing at an Alumicraft or Lund if its not the original color. Lunds had red on them.

You're not even warm.  It's fiberglass.

Just a guess. Looks like a Herters fishing boat from the early 60's. They were made in Waseca MN.

I don't know, but the Hurter's Flying Fish had an aluminum transom. Don't know if the fishing models did or not, but would be a good guess, could be something from Sears or Wards. Everybody made that type of fishing boat.

We would like to hit a couple of meets, we will have to see. Sue liked the Minnesota River run. Not too rough of water. And I would like the Red Wing meet. The water was a little rough for Sue, but if the vintage hydroplane was there, I would like to see that. I agree that some type of support boats should be on site if it was to be running in the water, just in case. If it was kept under 100 mph, it would be ok, but it would be hard to keep it slow. LOL

You guys are still cold. Try a town in southern MN.  Guess the year of the Evinrude.

Ok, guess number two. Let's try a Pipestone. Bonus question, the year of the Evinrude is 1954.

100% right.  Also on the !5 hp.  Probably the first model in 1958.  The next year they molded in the splash rail.  My dad took me to Lake Miltona by Alexandria when I was 14.  Skied on glass.  I was hooked ever since.  Had a 1953 25hp Johnson.  We were clocked at 35 mph by a car on the Missouri river.
