Do not know if I was born or raised a Merc OB guy, but progressed over 50 years from 1961 to 2011 from a white 22 HP Mercury Hurricane to 50 HP, 80 HP, 1974 115 HP, and now 1988 115 HP.

I had those too when I was kid. Wind up the motor and watch her go! I kind of doubt they are around anymore though. Cool Doran!

We had toy boats growing up too. I dont think I have a pic of my brothers cabin crusier. The hull was plastic (I assume) and the deck was wood and had an electric Evinrude on it that ran off D size batteries. It was about 14" long. We used to hook them up to our fishing rods and reels so we could drag them back to shore. Worked pretty good. I was in custody of that boat for years and gave it back to him for his 40th B day about 18 years ago.
