Wireless router
« on: April 13, 2013, 06:19:30 PM »
I have no idea what to get, looking to replace the old linksys I think it's the reason our Xbox live freezes. I use it for Netflix and going on the forum sometimes...boats look awesome on the tv. Anyways looked at the router wall today and I gave up and went home empty handed, any advice?

Mine is a Netgear WNR2000.  Plug and play compatible for me in a Mac household.  I have not ever experienced the slightest bit of trouble with it.  The Mediacom modem(s) on the other hand .....

We got this one. Works good with our macs. We also stream netflix and a bunch of other stuff through it to our apple TV, iPad, iphone, ect. No complaints and it's pretty cheap.

I too have a Linksys WRT54GL
I've had it for several months with no issues that I can actually blame on it. To me it was NOT plug and play but I am not that computer savoy. I had to spend some time on the phone with them and Hughesnet Satellite to get things working. It was rated fairly well when I was looking and and was under 50 bucks if I remember correctly.
I have NO idea how to do any streaming of Netflix etc. I'd love to do it but too illeratre  ;D :D
