Those boats are beyond beautiful!!  I have pictures of the Thunderbird somewhere.  I saw that up in Tahoe a few years ago.

I saw an hour long show on Thunderbird a couple years ago...so that's really cool that its sister lives in MN somewhere.

I used to live in Tahoe and worked at the Tahoe city Marina where it was kept and got to know it pretty well. With twin P-51's it's quite de-tuned just to keep it under control. Only two where made and it's "sister" is at the bottom of the lake over by Incline Village and the east shore.

Ross,

The long boat is "Posh" a 1937 54 foot commuter. This is a Hacker design built by the Huskins shipyard. They built three special commuters. Tempo was at the Minneapolis Boat Show last January, Posh, and the third boat is the Thunderbird on Tahoe.
You know alot about these things Dane.
That is one incredible boat if you can call it that!  :o Great shot. I'll be keeping that one.
