The lighterfluid is still ducktaped to Steve's trailer. He will not outlive that one.

Hey Steve, you can forget the lighter fluid this time, we will have gas grills!

Just like being there....

Jim & Kelly took us on a tour last year... I made a screen print each time we entered/exited a different lake, etc...

Well, I have to bow out too.  I got the carb put on, but it still does the same thing it was doing at Red Wing.  On the first try it starts, runs for about 20 seconds, and dies. Then I crank and crank and crank and doesn't fire. Going to try spark plugs next just because they're old, but after that I'm at a loss.

Anyway, have fun tomorrow. I'll join you next time.

Spark plugs don't just "Go Bad" check the ignition Module. Most auto parts stores can do that.

10 year old spark plugs are due for a change, but I don't really think that's the problem either.

And I'm not telling the whole story, either.  At the meet, I could get it to run if someone else cranked the starter and I played with the throttle to open farther than the neutral stop.  Once I could get it to idle on its own, I could run it, shut down and start like normal.  If I let it cool down at all, I had to start over.  To me, that sounds like a fuel problem.  But after the carb rebuild, I'm at a loss.

By the way, this is the Seaflite, not the CVX-20.

And now, back to our regularly scheduled thread.

Sounds like fuel pump or leaking vacuum / fuel lines.

If your going at 9 I don't think I can get there that early, the boats in friends garage I store it in. I can't call him real early to see if I can get it out. I might have to bring a non Glastron.

Looks like we are not going to make it today, too much going on at home and things need to get done before going back to work. :(

Good seeing everyone for a couple minutes. Looks like too much power for the lower unit. I'll know more tomorrow when I see Rob at Boat Motor Recyclers.

Had an awesome time. I counted a total of 11 boats. Not bad considering a chilly breezy morning. But it warmed up quick and turned out to be a really nice day.

The photo shoot with the Tonka Paparazzi was fun too. Can't wait to see how those pictures turned out! Thanks for setting that up Chad. Great idea.

Kip, thanks for borrowing your front yard to us. Great set up you got.

Here are some pictures we took.

Thank you to Jason for starting this thread, and Tonka Jim for the great trip around the lake with thoughtful stops along the way.  Everyone was looking good on the water!  Too bad we had to leave at 3pm, but we enjoyed meeting all of you at the stops and the landing.
