Interesting idea, but not sure why, especially with a  Scimitar.    Its a lot of work, time, and expense that would likely lower the resale value.   It certainly could be done, given a donor craft with a jet drive system.    Top speed would suffer, low speed handling is harder as well.   I'm not against the idea per se, but you could sell the scimitar and have a jet cvx-23 with money left over.

That would be a big project?. I did that to a gt150 and that was one third the size. It wasn?t that difficult, just a lot of labor?    It might be easier to use a 23 that is a jet and just trade the top half?s. I think they used the same hulls?? It would make it the only one.. it might piss off all the glastronahalic out there.. but I say go for it?. It?s your boat!

The reason I am considering this is my lake is quite shallow and I keep dinging up the prop and yes I'm super careful .
I never had any issues with my other Jet boat .
Still in the thinking process lol.
Whats a super nice Scimitar worth ? 20K 30K ?

$20-30K seems reasonable, maybe more.  Shallow lake and jets might be ok if not rocky.    My friends 23 has spent considerable downtime having to fish rocks out of the pump while at the MN meets.   Hard call, aluminum props are cheap, but get damaged easily.   SS is tougher, but are somewhat pricey to fix.   I've seen jet drive conversions for outboards, but only on smaller fishing/hunting craft.

You have a cool Scimitar to drive around, from my narrow Glastron perspective this seems easy, move to another lake so you can drive around without hitting the bottom.  The problem is not the boat its the lake.

Interesting idea, I am getting close to converting a CVX 20 Deluxe from the jet to a surface drive and would be cutting away the section of hull the original drive mounted through.
