That?s a pretty good buy for a 460 if it?s a usable core, but it be pretty tough to put a big block Ford on a MerCruiser. I have a 454 out of a motorhome I think that?s heading towards the boat.

That's what I thought. I was a bit confused as I thought it came with a  260 sbc.

From one of your previous pictures it appeared the Merc 330 had a bravo water pump.  Same base engine I used for the intimidator project.  Peanut heads but makes lots of torque.   Should be an excellent replacement in the cruiser.  Alpha drive should survive as long as you are gentle on the throttle.
