Yo Terry. Dave's CV23 is a really nice origional boat. Inside & out. From the looks of it I can't imagine it ever spending much time outside the garage. Very clean.

Having said that there's still no guarantee she might not have the proverbial soft spot somewhere? Oh well it's a beautiful boat, and the price ain't outa line. Go for it!

have you checked with Yesterday's Tractors ... they transport a lot of boats on a back haul.

Just interested.  Please post any other transport quotes you get.

I have looked at boats in other states in the past and the cost to transport was just not worth it for me.

Call around Florida, in the past I had looked for clean cars driven by little old ladies, back when you could fly one way for 100 dollars thinking I would drive the rust free cars back to Minnesota an sell them.  At that time I also call around and found some good prices for delivery.  The best price was a company that had enclosed trailers and handled mostly cars, but even they may be able to handle a 16 foot boat on a trailer.

$1900 seems high but I did some ruff calculations last night. at 18mpg=$550 for gas, 24 hours down , 24hours back, so add food and cheap motel for a four day trip plus, 3000 miles on my truck, and pay me or someone a little cash for four days of their time.  If you can get any price below $1500 and I bet you can.  Have it delivered to your house, just don?t tell the wife.

There's hundreds of "snow Birds" down there. Maybe something on the local Craigslist, or the paper, they can drag it back. Just make sure the bearings are packed, and it has new tires.  I had a guy from Canada take a Thunderhawk down to FL for me.
