Woops! Ok its a Challenger not a Contender. Maybe! Can't locate a serial number. So not sure of the year. Its a lien sale. Lien sale paperwork says its a 66. All the info on the Classics site is 69 and after. Please chime in if you have any info on year model etc. Here are a few pictures taken yesterday when I picked it up. It was in a mountain resort area about 2 hours drive from my house here in Southern California.
Other than the seat boxes, their appears to be no rot at all. The design of this boat has no floor with the strigners exposed. Also there does not appear to be any wood in the transom. It looks like the entire transom is fiberglass. The boat has definitiely been painted. The paint is cracking and will need to be completely taken off. You can see the red flake underneath.
Just another project. Put it in line behind the two GT-160s. Might be fun with a Merc 115 on the back
