With all the custom stuff going on with Burnin Daylight and others I know this isnt a big deal, but sometimes it hard to swallow paying what they want for stuff.
After disassembling the forward/reverse cable on the 175 and investigation as to how things are SUPPOSED to be put together as opposed to some of the Red/Green tactics used, I have found they want almost $80.00 for these parts. Couple of "special" nuts, nylon washers and a retaining clip. These items cost almost as much as the entire cable. Oh well, gotta do it right.

There is a satisfaction with knowing it was done properly though.  Even if no one ever sees it, you know that it was done right!

Imagine if you lost forward/reverse on the river at the meet last year. With that current, you could have got into trouble real quick depending where it happened. All of a sudden $80 seems like a heck of a deal!

Thats exactly what I thought of to justify it. It had regular nuts on it when I took it apart, Not lock washers, no lock nuts. Crappy!
