I still get a laugh out of Ross's comment about the guy ashing his cigarette in his girlfriend's mouth ... LOL
Hey, some chicks are into that Gregg ...?

Speaking of cats on boats. I have a dream to someday bring a pet Bobcat, or FL Panther, out to Snake Island. And sic him on those obnoxious, annoying, ankle-biters folks insist on bringing with them. That oughta make em think twice ...

There is actually a Tim Lively & The Profits 45 titled "Simon Sez" for sale on Ebay as we speak. Somebody needs to jump on it!

Some early Aqua-Lift testing, which made it possible for Tim and the boys to do there "band in a boat" gig !

Is this for real or another Photochop?
Never seen that one. It appears to be water and not scalding coffee.  ;D

1989 ...

In the above picture... of the Glastron World HQ in New Braunfels, TX... I thought that intersection looked familiar, sure enough, I pass by that building almost daily.  An examination of the picture compared to satellite imagery you can see the intersections behind it, other storage units are still there but added on to, bridge in background, etc.  Intersection of I-35 & loop 337.  Does anybody know what years that was the Glastron HQ... Here is what it looks like (satellite) today... there is a bunch of tanks, pipes, trucks, etc., not sure what they are doing with the building today.  I'll have to look closer, maybe snap a picture, next time I pass by :)  I've seen that place many times, had no idea that was Glastron at one point!

Those of you that missed the CGOAMN meet in 2005 missed the tour of the factory in Little Falls. It's amazing how computers put them together today.

Back to music, been playing drums for over 30 years, some guitar also. My 11 year old started playing clarinet this year in 6th grade band. Can't believe how much progress she has made in a few months. The animals are no longer running for higher ground when she opens the case. Lol

Here is my current set at the house. All Roland TD-10 components running out of the module to a laptop running Superior Drummer 2.0 with several of the add in modules. The ability to build any kit imaginable is simply awesome!!

Miss those days band days in school, good times. I have had mid 60's Gretsch, 67 Ludwigs, early 70's Slingerlands, Mapex Studio Maples and Pearls as well. My neighbors were never big fans of the noise and I was so limited on when I could play. The best thing about the Roland's with Superior Drummer are that I can build all those sets I used to have plus ones I could only dream of, plug in my iPod, throw my headphones on and play anytime I want, including when the girls are sleeping. Best decision I have ever made. Keep hitting the skins, music is an awesome gift to have.

Cool! My Dad was a drummer. Rumor has it he could also play a mean standup bass, but I ain't never saw him do that. I 'member him telling me the reason he played drums was because all he had to do was keep the beat. He didn't have to sing, or read music even ... He would've loved yer setup as he was heavily into computers & synthesizers during the early days and throughout his life.

Mom's a keyboardist & also plays the flute. Though not at the same time ...

My lil brother can still play some keyboard. Lil sis is an accomplished musician who can play several instruments. She played my old french horn with the USMC band during her enlistment. Her husband is at least as talented, primarily a trumpet player but has many instruments in his repetoire.

Great that your little girl is in the band! Hear ya bout sending the animals running. My 11yr old neice is getting to the point on the piano where ya can almost sit in the same room ... I believe it's important for kids (of all ages) to have an appreciation for music. I think if'n they don't then they're really missing out?

Here is a replica of Eddie VanHalen's guitar from VanHalen I. Did lots of research, laid it all out and painted that myself....with rattle cans! Black lacquer base, taped it all off, white lacquer top coat, lots of clear lacquer, wet sanded and buffed, smooth as glass!!

This might give some incite into history of factory's and years .

Yea Gregg, that's what I was thinking... I will stop in and see what I can find out.  Maybe there is a plaque on the outside of the building somewhere, or an old boat mold laying around :)
