Boating Saturday 5/19 9:30 on White bear Lake
« on: May 16, 2012, 10:46:37 PM »
Anyone up for some boating Saturday? Maybe WBL for a test run with Shuan and his new CVX18? Or some prop testing? Or we could head down to the mississippi. The water is a perfect level right now. Debris is very minimal too.

I will be out on White Bear on Sat till about noon or 1 then we have a birthday party to go to. Jeff sounded like he would make it out as well for the morn sounded like he had something to do in the afternoon as well.
I think this has become an addiction.

I assume the public ramp on the northwest side of the lake. Free and a nice big parking lot.

Had a great time guys, Shawn's CVX looks AWESOME in person !
Forgot my camera but Jason took some pictures and I used his camera to take some movies on the fly, hope they came out ...LOL
With the strong winds, it was almost like the St. Croix on a Sat. afternoon !
Shawn took us to a nice sandy sand bar to hang out at ...
We cruised the shoreline looking for the Bishop brothers , but never found there CVX.

Thanks for the ride Jason !

Was another good boating day! Someone could have turned down the fan but at least it was warm. Shawn's boat does look awesome. The orange is beautiful! Seems to be running well too. I'll get the video up later. It's a little shaky. Either Gregg was nervous of my driving or it was the white caps on the lake!

Had a good time as well. The wind could have died down a little. And still got a couple more parts to put on the boat.
I think this has become an addiction.

We're on the southwest side of the lake, in that little inlet just east of the marina by 400ft or so.  The CVX is under it's cover through, so it's hard to spot unless you can recognize it by the outdrive.
