Hi guys,

Does anyone know where I can get a 41945A6 exhaust plate for my Mercury v6 the old one is toast.......

eBay seem to be your best bet.

Managed to get one from SouthCentral Outboards, thanks to Jane and OMG at a very good price.

While I have her in thousands of peices I'm changing all the lower gear bearings too, what a project I've taken on here! Today I tried to get the prop gear retaining ring off, I had 5 guys at the shop trying to get it off and let me tell you even with heat and a hydrolic power ratchet and 5 massive shop workers pulling on a bar it wouldn't move. Ended up allowing them to cut it off. They did a great job but there is hardly any thread left as it has all rotted away, is there anything that can be done to save the lower unit or is it toast?
