Does anyone know the length or part number for the shift cables? I have a new console and need to get some new ones. Cheers
-
My Timi is an 85, but I would be happy to take a look at mine and let ya know. Do you need a length measurement, or would there be a part number on them that you require.
-
Typically the part number on them tells the length. If I remember it is the last 2 numbers is the length.
-
Mine is an '83 so I doubt that there is any difference. Part number would be the best way to go. I measured them once but I would like to get the accurate length.
I got a Mercruiser Commander 4000 so I need the newer version of the cables.
Thanks guys!

I looked over all three cables, the one from the outdrive on the engine side is stamped IC181, and is approximately 74" long. The two cables from the operator controls appear to be identical, one is marked Teleflex CC 17213 G84. The other cable does not appear to have any numbers, at least I can't find them. I have the cables tie wrapped up for storage, but I could unravel them and take length measurements. Not certain who makes the controls so I took a picture. Let me know if I can help further.

Thanks mate! You don't need to do anything else. I'll check with my Mercruiser dealer and see if the part number makes sense. Thank you!

I'm pretty sure this is a Morse controller. My cvx18 has the same one.

The Teleflex number CC 17213 indicates it's a Control Cable, 172 series, 13 ft.

I'm just gonna say..... I love how many Intimidators are here now.
-
I just hope to have mine water ready by next season.
-
Shorty you forgot to put a globally in there :-) My boat has sailed the seven seas lol Born and raised in the US it spend a lot of time under California sun until it made it's journey through the Panama channel and the Atlantic to rainy cold Germany.
-
hahaha.... yeah.... but I meant here on the CGOAMN forum. Even though many are not here locally. Just great to see this thing having grown so much ... and more of my favorite one increasing in numbers on here :D ;D
-
To bad your favorite isn't CV23's ... You'd be in heaven !
Must be about eight of them ...
There's another Timmi in MN. owner isn't a member, but was at Hannay's boat show.

A Timi on a Tandem no less.......

Is there any intimidators here in the uk - or in Europe aside form yours you are aware of? - I'd Love to buy one!
-
There aren't any for sale that I know of.
-
If you ever want to sell yours Germany isnt that far away :D
-
I'm pretty certain shipping would cost a fair amount from Germany to the UK, but for some odd reason my brain takes off on a tangent(squirrel moment), and I think to myself, well Bremerhaven to several UK ports would be about 300 NM give or take, would someone in their right mind attempt such a feat in a low freeboard 20' boat such as a Timi? People do crazy stuff all the time, but a small boat out on the North Sea?
-
Ha - yes that would be nuts I checked you are about 550 miles away so if it ever happened I'd trailer it and have a weekend over there or something :-)
Out of curiosity - what are they like on fuel? I have a 90 i6 tower of power are they much worse than that because that like putting cash in the shredder as it is... whereas my 120 mercruiser diesel different story 25 gallon nearly 300 miles!
-
I wouldn't mind driving over there from France. But my Timi has never seen salt water before soooo that's not an option.
It's just a short roadtrip, no big deal.
Who knows, maybe mine will be for sale in the next years. You never know ;-)

How loud are they and what's the gas mileage like on slow running day - 10-20mph ? If I had one it would be river/lake 70/30

They are not really meant to go slow lol. And they are loud. I never heard one with the silencers on but mine is pretty loud. Stainless steel exhaust all the way.
Normally the tank lasts one day cruising and a little bit of fun.
-
Is 20mph too slow for it to go around then?
