Winter stroage tip
« on: October 18, 2012, 07:41:34 AM »
I know many on here have to park their boats for the snowy winters and I thought I'd pass this on. I just helped a friend last night shrink wrap his bass boat for the winter months. He's an avid hunter and typically does not touch the boat until January or February.

This is what he used. He split the cost with a few others that will do the same. Enough on the role to do 8 boats. We used a propane jet heater to shrink it.

He's done this for the past 4 years and loves it. It stays on a trailer under a covered parking area. A couple of his friends have their boats stored on the river on a lift and they all are really satisfied with the protection it gives for months. Very strong. He even used a piece to shrink wrap his 70 LS-6 Chevelle to trailer it 1000 miles to a show. Kept the car clean and bug free.

Might be something for you to look into.
