V-156 Windshield
« on: July 11, 2017, 01:06:42 AM »
Hello from Maine!
Brought home my first boat this weekend, a 1975 (?) V-156 tri-hull with a 50 Johnson on the back.  Super excited to get out on the water with my son, but as with everything, it needs a lil love first.  The port side windshield is missing as well as the walk through section.  Does anyone know of a good source for a replacement?  Is this windshield used on other models?  Thanks for any guidance you can give!

Welcome to the forum CV202 !

If you are missing glass, mine had Plexiglas replacement on the passenger side.
If your missing frame, look for a cheap rotted out V-156 on Craigslist and offer to buy just the windshield.
My V-156 had the pass thru windshield, but removed it because it bounced around and rattled, and the only time I used it was when it would rain. Thought about making a clear vinyl one that could be rolled up and stuffed in side pocket or under seat when not in use.
Pass thru hinges come up for sale on eBay, but are starting to be harder to find. Great lake skipper use to have them, but link is gone now.

Thanks for the help, I'm having the one in Florida sent up.  The dimensions all seem to match up.  Fingers crossed!
