That idiot needs to have his boat sold...140mph, no life jackets and that close pass at 2:08 is scary dangerous.

Well the truth of the matter is a life vest aint gonna do ya much good at 100+ miles an hour. So what the heck if you're going to go, you might just as well go out in a blaze of glory.

I don't disagree that at 100+ you're probably toast...but a life vest gives you a chance.

Not for me to pass Judgment on, fun or cringe worthy to watch dependent on your opinion.   Quite certain there are folks that shake their heads at our 16-18-20 foot boats doing 60+ mph.   The Youtube videos for Lake Lanier poker runs are far more entertaining and shot better.    The pass would be ill advised, but it is a video after all, and probably staged.   Personally not something I need to worry about, I'd have trouble affording one of those Arneson surface drives let alone the rest of a boat capable of that performance.   Boats like that do exist on our river, fortunately we an hear them coming and head towards the shore.

Accidents happen in boats, cars, and motorcycles. Motorcycles are the worst. Watch some of the videos that are posted on facebook of motorcycle accidents. The grandson of a couple we know had a horrible motorcycle accident four years ago and now had another one and may not fully recover from a brain injury - and no health insurance.

How many of us have hit objects in the water at much slower speeds than the boat in the video. How could he avoid, say, a large tree trunk in the water at high speeds. My classmate from high school died after a high speed boating accident in Sept of 2015 in Champlin, on the Mississippi river.

Speed is fun but I'll keep it under control, wear a life preserver, hook up to the kill switch, and watch the water in front of me.
