Hi all,
My name is Chris and I live in Connecticut. I've always loved the lines of Glastrons and vowed that one day I would own one. Well, true to my word, I picked up the blue 1976 CVC-18 that was for sale in Pennsylvania. http://forum.cgoamn.com/index.php?topic=4965.0 (http://forum.cgoamn.com/index.php?topic=4965.0)
I've got a lot of work ahead of me, but I'm looking forward to bringing her back to life.....and more so cruising in it. ;D
I am also a member of CGOA (I see a lot of familiar names on here) and started a thread on the restoration, if anyone is interested: http://www.classicglastron.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=10218 (http://www.classicglastron.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=10218)
This forum along with CGOA are great sites. They continue to be a valuable source of information. I'm sure I'll be asking for advice, and have many questions. I hope I won't be a PITA.
Thanks in advance,
Chris
BTW - If I ever win LOTTO, I would love to get a restored Scimitar. They are awesome!

Welcome Chris! Glad to see a member picked up that boat! A very unique boat to be sure!

Thanks guys for the welcome.

Welcome Chris! Seeing as you're less than an hour away we should bet together sometime. I've been up to Candlewood on occasion and there are a couple others who could meet up to have a Glastron day on the lake.

Rich,
Yes, that would be great. The boat will have to wait until it is water worthy, but I could meet up with you with my PWC's.
