1986 CVX 18
« on: March 18, 2014, 11:33:10 PM »
Well I have been toying with the idea of selling this boat for a few years now, we just don't use it like it should be. It gets used at the annaul meet in Red Wing every year and that is about it.
So as far as condition is concerned I will list what comes to mind, anything else you want to know call me.

Original: gel, interior minus the carpet, snap on cockpit cover, trailering cover, pin stripping, bow decal, and the trailer.
New: All wood was replaced with marine grade plywood with the exception of the fuel tank support (this was not rotten), including the transom/stringers/floor/ladder supports/motor mounts. The flotation boxes were also replaced and filled with the proper foam.

I know I will regret this but it is time.
Give me a call if you are interested and want to talk money or need particular pictures.
Thanks
Tim

Good luck with the sale Tim. Your CVX18 is a beauty and turn-key. Mine is the last Carlson I'll ever own unless I trade  up for a different CVX18.

When the kids were little, I hardly ever got out...can't imagine trying to keep 2 boats going.  Think that's a good call...plus, you're gonna need a family friendly bow rider or something down the line...

She's a beauty Tim and you put a lot of work into that baby. Wish I was in a better position. After riding in Jeff's, I really like how 18's ride and handle.

After riding in Jeff's CVX it's hard to go back to your own boat !

I can agree with both of those.  Tim, your boat is great - I'm pretty sure that was the one you brought down for Rathbun in 2012.  I wish you the best of luck with the sale.

Didn't use mine very much either with having little kids so I to sold mine.

I need several more years before I can get back into another CVX or similar.

I really like that color combo. GLWS!

I hope it goes to an active club member or someone wanting to join, such a great looking boat.  The CVX and the Intimidator are both beautiful  boats, hard choice to make.
