I only wish there was!  It is your basic starter boat with a 135 HP Alpha One Mercrusier stern drive.

Thanks Gregg.  I will look for you August 20 in Red Wing.  You will have to post a picture of your boat so that I can look for it.

Hello everyone! My name is Rob and I live in Elk River MN. I grew up boating with Glastrons with my dad. He had a GT150, then a GT160, and finally his last one was a CV23 jet drive with the 460. My favorite james bond actor is Roger Moore. I love the fact that those movies used production Glastrons! I came to the 2010 meet at the last minute  :-/ but found that river boating is realy fun! Drove my cv16ss up the river through the lock with my friend who owns a regal, but now wants to sell it to get a Glastron! ;D. And if your wondering... Yes this is Brian's old carlson.

Name is Craig Shrom, I am from Lancaster PA. No i am not Amish lol.

I currently own a 79 CVX-18
Past owned A 73 CV-16 witch I had put all new floor and interior in. plus Outboard. I started out with just the hull.
My brother and I are currently in the process of customizing his CV-16 to a I/O. We did new transom, new stringers and floor, custom build area. Currently in it is a 120hp merc 4cyl. will switch to a 140hp merc sometime. We started this project before we even realized that they have already made a I/O cv-16 from factory. But the job is fun to do. and a one off boat when its done. any idea's is welcome. Here are a few pictures of my new boat, old boat and I will get pictures of my brothers boat up too soon

Welcome Craig. Look forward to some pics of your project.
There is a member here who did the opposite and converted a CV 16 I/O to an outboard.
His posts are on here somewhere.

Hello from the Great White North... well, almost.
My name is Elliott Olson and I live near Warroad, MN by Lake of the Woods.

My first boat (20 years ago) was an aluminum (pointed, not square bow) duck boat with 3.5hp Sears OB. I couldn't get it running well at all because it has a bent :P intake reed. I did however get to run it around Bemidji with an electric troller and small oars.

About 8 years ago I got a '64 Glastron Skiflite 142 with 40hp electric-shift Evinrude from my brother. The last time we had run it I noticed water coming up the inside of the transom. The keel has a short crack across it and the transom ply is rotting out. just sitting in the water was fine but running at speed pushed water in the crack to defy gravity and waterline level through the transom. I am now splitting the top off the hull to start rebuilding the transom, and I'll also grind into the keel from the top to glass across the keel crack before fixing the outside. I also need to do some checking on the motor because we could never get it up to full speed. I suspect a missing bolt might be losing crankcase vacuum. The Yacht Club trailer is a little big for it but I can live with it.

Can anyone suggest where I might find replacement lenses for the nav light? The red is broken and severely faded. I actually have two housings (I like them and want to keep the style) but only two green and one (used to be)red lenses. Anywhere I've checked so far has said "no longer available".

EDIT: BTW, how far north do any of your get-together's come?

Oh yeah, I was forgetting another boat, a 15' Wizard I hauled from California when I got a camper-conversion van from Grandma and then found another 40hp Evinrude for $100 to put on it. That OB ran fine after a little ignition work.

The first one, no, the rest, yes. Even just the lens on the last one... OUCH! $$

As another option, I could get by with a clear lens and put a red theatrical lighting gel behind it, or just use red LEDs. Does the USCG require colored lenses or just colored light? maybe I should ask the local USCG.
