The fireworks on FL were awesome last time I watched them from the water but getting on and off the lake was really bad for us so I likely wont do it again. I know I am posting this after the fact but hope you didnt experience the fiascos we did.
1. a sinking boat at the landing
2. a guys tow vehicle rolling back and almost crushing him.
3. Me running out of gas while waiting in line at the landing.
4. Getting lost on the lake, navigating the channels in the dark with a spot light

Ugh! Got home at 1:00 am after 10:30ish fireworks.

Well, thankfully we had a dock on the lake with some friends that we were able to park at.  We avoided the ramp issues, but holy cow...  I bet there were 2000 boats out there.  Just as the fireworks ended, a 10-15 mph wind picked up.  It was crazy.  I feel pretty confident with a boat, but all you could see was red green and white lights.  I would say I wouldn't do it again either.  it was literally a boat every 3-5 feet in each direction.

If you didnt have to navigate any of the channels, that helps too.

If you want to see thousands of boats every couple of feet, go to Lake Minnetonka on the 4th for fireworks. Excelsior Bay. Unbelievable! When everybody leaves after the fireworks, then things get really nuts. Don't do it in a 14 footer!  :o

Throw up the camper canvas and spend the night on the lake on the boat.  That's what I'm talking about!!!  Yeah!!!

I was out on the shore watching last year, we used to go out there and we would just wait an extra hour before we went in, way less trouble.

I always liked watching them on the Mississippi in St. Paul. Been a few years though.
