The splash went OK with a few minor issues.

140 with 2 people, 12 gal fuel, 23p aluminum / 42.2 MPH.
120 with 2 people, 8 gal fuel, 21p aluminum / 36.5 MPH.

I'm sure I will gain a couple more MPH with some prop testing & tune-up

Engine has a knock but not sure whats causing it, it will have to come out this fall and get opened up.

Didn't buy it Ross, it was out of a free donor boat.
I did run it out of the boat but with no muffler I didn't hear the knock.

No photos of the run?  Could the knock be coming from the u joints or a loose flywheel or is it for sure coming from the motor?
